Let me jump in and just say this...try not to mix and match too many parts....stick with one brand if you can. PDI parts, PDI springs.

I replied to the message you sent me there sharp.

I recommend the PDI spring as the pull was significantly lighter than the laylax equivalent which is caused by how PDI makes there springs.

As far as the spring power, I was told that a PDI 280% spring should get you at about 500fps, and if it is just shy then you may use a nylon washer if you choose to. Keep in mind though and adjusted hop-up can increase the FPS of the round by up to 25fps as well.

With EZkill's rifle, he has various hop-up modifications if I remember correctly that allow him to have PERFECT compression. This creates a significant increase and will be the reason why a 250% will get him around 550fps.
**When I had my VSR-10, my spring shot 490fps before +- 5fps. When I installed the hop-up mod, it boosted my performance to 583fps +- 0.2fps with the same spring (Magsz can verify as I chronoed it at his house).

A 280% should work fine with your needs, and if need be, order the trust rings by PDI. At that point, you just need some fine ammo and wash off the residue of the bbs.

Hope this helps Sharp, and good luck with the rifle. let me know how it turns out.

Sharp, the pull with the 200% spring is just perfect in my opinion, not to soft, not to hard.

You should be fine with those parts as they have fine craftsmanship. The Piston and spring guide is one of the best combinations on the market!
